Reading God’s Word: Daniel 1; Psalm 78

Memorizing God’s Word: 1 John 4:11 Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

Meditating on God’s Word: Psalm 78:38-39, “Yet he was merciful; he forgave their iniquities and did not destroy them. Time after time he restrained his anger and did not stir up his full weather. He remembered that they were but flesh, a passing breeze that does not return.”

Praying God’s Word: “Lord, if you kept a record of wrongs, who could stand? We, your people, have wandered and gone astray time and time again. Yet because of Your mercy, You don’t treat us according to our failures, but according to Your steadfast love. Continue to be merciful to me today—You know that I need it! Lord, You know that I am just a human being; and yet, even though I am but flesh, You made me, You love me, and You died to save me. Remember me again today, I pray. Amen.”
