Reading God’s Word: Ezekiel 29-30; Psalm 64

Memorizing God’s Word:  Philippians 4:13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

Meditating on God’s Word:  Ezekiel 29:3-4a ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: “‘I am against you, Pharaoh king of Egypt, you great monster lying among your streams. You say, “The Nile belongs to me; I made it for myself.” But I will…

Praying God’s Word: “O Lord, greatness, power, glory, and splendor belong to you and you alone.  You’ve made this evident all throughout your word and today’s reading was yet another reminder of all you can and will do.   Forgive me for the times when I view my achievements and accomplishments as credited to myself.  When I boast about the things in my life that I have done, attributing them to my own efforts.  Help me not to be prideful like the Egyptians, who spoke arrogantly, claiming they made the Nile and it belonged to them.   For you are the only one who supplies all resources, gives all abilities, and rules over everything. Amen.”
