Praying God’s Word: “Father, when we face trials and troubles in our lives, our first response is to turn to those around us for solutions. If they cannot help, we will turn to the government for assistance. In our verses today, the Psalmist indicates that neither of those sources of help compares to the refuge we can find in you. Forgive us for looking too quickly at our manmade and man-centered solutions, and instead, may we look to you for our refuge and help in the storms of life. Amen.”
