Reading God’s Word: John 15:9-16:6; Psalm 89:35-43

Memorizing God’s Word: John 15:5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

Meditating on God’s Word: John 15:12, “My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.” Praying God’s Word: “Lord, what a joy it is to serve You! As you will pray in a few chapters, to know You is life! And to serve You is perfect freedom. But how often have I made serving You about things other than love? I get love confused with so many other things. I can easily focus on performance, on doing the right things, rather than love. I can easily focus on knowledge, and knowing the right things, rather than love. But what are my works and my knowledge if I don’t love You and those around me? Help me today, Lord, to remember to love in Your power! Amen.”
