Memorizing God’s Word:  Proverbs 14:12 There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death. 

Meditating on God’s Word: 1 Samuel 15:22-23 (TLB) Samuel replied, “Has the Lord as much pleasure in your burnt offerings and sacrifices as in your obedience?  Obedience is far better than sacrifice.  He is much more interested in your listening to him than in your offering the fat of rams to him. ²³ For rebellion is as bad as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as bad as worshiping idols.  And now because you have rejected the word of Jehovah, he has rejected you from being king.” 

Praying God’s Word:  God, forgive me for thinking MY acts of service, tithing, and worship are more important than obeying what you wrote in your Word and revealed via the Holy Spirit.  Help me see and do (obey) what YOU want me to do; not what I think will please you.  Help me to live on your terms, not mine. Amen.
