Reading God’s Word: Luke 13:10-35; Proverbs 23

Memorizing God’s Word: Luke 16:13 No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

Meditating on God’s Word: Luke 13:14 Indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, the synagogue leader said to the people, “There are six days for work. So, come and be healed on those days, not on the Sabbath.”

Praying God’s Word: “Jesus, you gave up everything to redeem us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, yet sometimes we still strive to “do things the right way” and neglect what you regard as most important…. people. Help me to know that a central part of worshiping you is treating people with compassion, kindness, and love as shown by you.  Would this truth not just be head knowledge I carry around, but one that would be imprinted on my heart and displayed throughout my life. Amen.”
