Meditating on God’s Word: Genesis 3:15, And I will put enmity between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.

Praying God’s Word: Lord, it’s hard for me to imagine all that You saw unfolding at the Fall of humankind. Surely in those moments, You knew all the terrible things that would happen as a result of us choosing our own way. Forgive me, Father, for the ways in which I have tried to take control, define truth, and be my own lord already this year. And yet, thank You, Father, that You did not leave us in our sin! From the very beginning, You began to promise salvation and redemption. Jesus, You have dealt the crushing blow to Satan on the cross! Praise be to Your name. Amen.
