Reading God’s Word: Revelation 16:8-17:13; Proverbs 29:15-27
Memorizing God’s Word: Psalm 139:23-24, Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
Meditating on God’s Word: Revelation 16:15, Look, I come like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake and remains clothed, so as not to go naked and be shamefully exposed.
Praying God’s Word: “Lord, we are nearing the end of another Christmas season. One where many of us have spent countless hours preparing in numerous ways. But I wonder, are we as prepared for your second coming as we are for the celebration of your first? Unlike Christmas Day, we will not know the date or time. It will come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night. Let us be awake and alert at all times. For when that day comes, I want to be ready and dressed, clothed in your righteousness. Amen.”
