Reading God’s Word: Luke 11: 33-54; Psalm 140

Memorizing God’s Word:  Psalm 23: 3-4 He refreshes my soul.  He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.  Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Meditating on God’s Word:  Luke 11:42 Woe to you Pharisees, because you give God a tenth of your mint, rue and all other kinds of garden herbs, but you neglect justice and the love of God. You should have practiced the latter without leaving the former undone.

Praying God’s Word:  Lord, you point out that yes, I am to obey your guidance for living holy and to tithe.  But more Importantly I am to be just and give the love of God to others.  Broaden my understanding of holy thinking and compassion.  Amen.
