Reading God’s Word: 2 Chronicles 35-36; Psalm 72

Memorizing God’s Word: John 1:14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Meditating on God’s Word: Psalm 72:18-19, “Praise be to the Lord God, the God of Israel, who alone does marvelous deeds. Praise be to his glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen and Amen.”

Praying God’s Word: “Lord, You are the only one of whom I will say, ‘Long live the king!’ You will reign on David’s throne forever! My hope is that one day, when I look around me, and when I look all across the world, I will be able to say, ‘Look at this! The whole earth—every country and nation, and from the highest mountains to the lowest valleys—it’s all filled up with God’s glory! I can see God’s goodness and love and mercy written all over this place. He is reigning as king over the whole earth! It’s like it was in the beginning, only even better. Surely, God has done a marvelous thing.’ Lord, bring this day quickly! Let it start with me and my heart. Fill me with Your glory, and bring Your kingdom here today, in my life. Amen.”
