Reading God’s Word: Luke 20:1–8, Psalm 17

Memorizing God’s Word: Luke 19:10, For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.

Meditating on God’s Word: Psalm 17:8, Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings.

Praying God’s Word: “Lord, today ‘I resolve that my lips will not sin’ (Psalm 17:3). So many examples to consider when we talk about guarding our words (Psalm 141:3). For example: Profanity and not taking your name in vain, which includes a careless use of your name. But what about unnecessary speech which includes gossip, slander, and verbal unkindness? Are we representing you with our life, but also our words? The tongue is difficult to tame (James 3:8), which is another example of why we need you! Amen.”
