Reading God’s Word: Joshua 22-23, Psalm 132

Memorizing God’s Word: Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast.

Meditating on God’s Word: Joshua 22:5 But be very careful to keep the commandment and the law that Moses the servant of the Lord gave you: to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to keep his commands, to hold fast to him and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.

Praying God’s Word: Lord, whether it’s Old Testament or New Testament, Joshua or Jesus, you clearly get the point across to us that loving you, obeying you, holding on to you, and serving you is the most important thing in a person’s life. Forgive me for those times when I have put other things ahead of you. May I love you and live for you ahead of everything else. And by my daily life may others see how much I love you. Amen.
