Memorizing God’s Word: John 8:31-32, To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

Meditating on God’s Word: Ezekiel 14:6, This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Repent! Turn from your idols and renounce all your detestable practices!

Praying God’s Word: “Lord, examine my heart and life today to see if there are any idols that block me from living a surrendered life. I say I want to become more like you. I sing that ‘you are all I need.’ I say ‘amen’ to loving people. But when I fall short, what is in my way? Search me, oh Lord. I am open, and willing, to see myself in the way you see me. You love me with an everlasting love and at the same time know my shortcomings in the deepest parts of me. Thank you, Lord, for your love and conviction! Amen.”
