Reading God’s Word: 2 Samuel 15-16; Proverbs 27

Memorizing God’s Word: James 1:2-3 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.

Meditating on God’s Word: Proverbs 26:20 Without wood a fire goes out; without a gossip a quarrel dies down.

Praying God’s Word: “God, I am reminded of the consequences of sin when I look at David’s life and the events that follow his sin with Bathsheba. He experienced so much pain and suffering because of his choices and actions. Sin carries with it so much baggage, pain, hurt, and suffering. I want to flee from sin and seek righteous living. I confess now to you any sin I have committed and ask you, Lord, to heal what I may have broken. God, break my heart for what breaks yours.”
