Reading God’s Word: Ruth 4; Proverbs 2:1-22
Memorizing God’s Word: Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
Meditating on God’s Word: Ruth 1:20, 4:14 “Don’t call me Naomi,” she responded. “Instead, call me Mara, for the Almighty has made life very bitter for me…” Then the women said to Naomi, “Blessed be the Lord, who has not left you this day without a redeemer, and may his name be renowned in Israel!”
Praying God’s Word: “Lord, thank you for being the Author of my story. How many times would I have written off hope if the pen were in my hand? How many times would I have changed my name to “bitter,” all while you were working for my blessing? Naomi believed her life was over, but little did she know her Author, the Great Redeemer, was just getting started. I don’t always get to see what you’re doing in my brokenness, but I know that you’re good. You are always faithful to your story of redemption, and you’re writing it right now in my life. I trust you through the tragedy. I bless you through the bitterness. For you have not left me without a Redeemer. Amen.”
