Reading God’s Word: Genesis 11:10-26; Psalm 6:1-12

Memorizing God’s Word: Genesis 1:1, In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Meditating on God’s Word: Psalm 6:4, Turn, LORD, and deliver me; save me because of Your unfailing love.

Praying God’s Word: O Lord, there are times when I feel like I can’t put words to the grief, or the pain, or the desperation. There are so many things in this world that aren’t the way You intended them to be—that seem anything but the ‘very good’ that You spoke after You had finished creating. But I’m comforted by the fact that You invite the words of pain and sorrow. There’s room at the table of our relationship for me to be honest about my pain. So Father, I bring it again to You today. Deliver me, O God, not because of my performance, but because of Your great love! Amen.
