Praying God’s Word: “Lord, forgive us for our lack of fear when it comes to you. Choosing to worship employers out of fear of losing money and promotions. We choose to worship politicians out of fear of losing our lifestyle. We choose to worship entertainment and friends out of fear of “missing out”. Jesus, renew in us hearts that fear the Lord. Wake us up to a reverent fear of missing our true calling, our very soul even as we gain the world. God, we fear you because in your perfect love, you alone cast out all fear. Amen.”
