Reading God’s Word: Matthew 7:1–12; Psalm 15
Memorizing God’s Word: Matthew 6:21, For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Meditating on God’s Word: Matthew 7:3, Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?
Praying God’s Word: “Lord, good question! Why do we find fault with others? Why do we spend time talking about people in a judgmental and critical way? We hurt others, but we also hurt ourselves. What I focus on expands, so I need to make room for you to work in my life. Refine any rough edges and expand my capacity to extend love and grace to others, but also to myself. Search my heart, Lord. I am still and I am listening (Psalm 139:23-24). What are my planks? Amen.”
