Reading God’s Word: Lamentations 2; Psalm 40

Memorizing God’s Word: Lamentations 3:22-23 Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

Meditating on God’s Word: Psalm 40:5 Many, Lord my God, are the wonders you have done, the things you planned for us. None can compare with you; were I to speak and tell of your deeds, they would be too many to declare.

Praying God’s Word: “Lord, where do I start to speak of your wonders? Stars? Waves? Wind? Or perhaps the eyes that see it all. The wonder of the pinks and orange and yellow you splash across the summer sky as the sun sinks low. The wonder of the warmth of a mother’s kiss. The wonder of icy snowflakes tumbling onto the eyelashes of a friend. The wonder of laughter spilling out and turning to vapor in the cold winter air. The wonder of forgiveness. Knowing you loved us so much that you included us and FOR-gave us a place and a purpose in all of this. A place inside of your story…HIS-tory. May we continue to walk in the wonder of your kingdom and seek it here and now.   Amen.”
