Reading God’s Word: Isaiah 40:1-11

Advent Reading: Hebrews 1:1-4

Memorizing God’s Word: Isaiah 40:28 Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.

Meditating on God’s Word: Isaiah 40:8 The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever. 

Praying God’s Word: Lord, when I take a close look at everything I can see in this world, I cannot help but see that everything will eventually rust, corrode, disintegrate and wear-out. Nothing will last forever. You alone are the same yesterday, today and forever. Your word is the only thing I can count on to be there forever. I can build my house upon your rock. What a comfort it is to know you can be depended upon, and your promises will always be kept. Amen.
