Reading God’s Word: Mark 1:40- 2:12; Psalm 73:15-28

Memorizing God’s Word:   Matthew 28:19-20 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

Meditating on God’s Word: Mark 2:5-7,10 When Jesus saw (the Paralytic & 4 carriers’) faith, He said to the paralyzed man, “Son, your sins are forgiven.     Now some teachers of the law were sitting there, thinking to themselves, Why does this fellow talk like that?  He’s blaspheming!  Who can forgive sins but God alone?  (Jesus responded to the teachers thinking;)     But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.”

Praying God’s Word:  Jesus, the teachers of the law were correct; only God can forgive sins.  But they failed to realize that you were telling them that by calling yourself the Son of Man, you also were claiming to be God.  On this Good Friday, thank you Jesus for dying for forgiveness of my sins, and thus allowing restoration of a relationship between you and me.  Praise to our Risen Lord!
