Meditating on God’s Word: Psalms 134:1-2 Praise the Lord, all you servants of the Lord who minister by night in the house of the Lord. Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and praise the Lord.

Praying God’s Word: “Lord, we’re urged to lift our hands for all sorts of reasons in Scripture. Sometimes out of desperation, other times in anticipation. We lift our hands in confession, petition, surrender, but in Psalm 134, we simply lift our hands in praise. David commands this kind of praise for all who were in the sanctuary, but now you’ve made us your sanctuary! How could we not bless you today, our Creator and our Savior? We lift our hands, wherever we are, to say we adore you, revere you, and worship you, oh God! Amen.”
