Praying God’s Word: “Lord, the story of Zacchaeus could be a familiar one, but may we not pass quickly over familiar stories. There may be something new to understand and a fresh look at the familiar. What captured my attention today was 19:5, “Jesus reached the spot and looked . . .” You stopped and you saw. As I read scripture for personal application I ask myself, ‘How many special moments do I miss because I am in a hurry?’ Who have you placed on my path, and I have walked by? I did not stop or look. Today will be different. I invite you into my day and I will be mindful of the special moments you place before me. Amen.”
