Reading God’s Word: Matthew 10:1-15; Psalm 10:1-11
Memorizing God’s Word: Matthew 11:29, Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
Meditating on God’s Word: Matthew 10:14, If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, shake the dust off your feet when you leave that home or town.
Praying God’s Word: “Lord, I can remember times when I took on too much responsibility for someone hearing and receiving the gift of salvation. If there was not a positive response I would ask myself: ‘Did I say something wrong? Why would they not want this free gift of salvation? Maybe I need another class, or I need to read another book?’ There is an incredible sense of freedom now to focus on growing my faith, live as authentically as I possibly can and leave the results to the One who knows the beginning from the end. Some plant the seed, some water the seed, but You bring about growth. ‘For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building.’ (I Corinthians 3:9) My responsibility is to open up my life and open up my mouth. I pray for opportunities today to faithfully be a worker alongside you; in the fields you are growing. Amen.”
