Reading God’s Word: Revelation 15-16

Advent Reading:  John 1:1-18

Memorizing God’s Word: Ephesians 5:1-2Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

Meditating on God’s Word:  John 1:1-5In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.  In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

Praying God’s Word:  Lord Jesus, today we celebrate your physical birth.  Yet through our meditation verses we know you were preexistent; through you all things were created and exist.  While you physically lived on earth as a human; you also are deity, part of the Trinity.  The baby Jesus we celebrate is the light & hope of the world.  The darkness of sin cannot overcome YOU.  Hallelujah!
