Reading God’s Word: Esther 8: Psalm 97

Memorizing God’s Word: Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Meditating on God’s Word: Psalm 97:1 “The LORD reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice.”

Praying God’s Word “Lord, your glory and renown have reached the “distant shores” of my life: distant in time and distant in space. 3000 years and 6000 miles from when this was written in Jerusalem, I am far from the writing of this psalm and yet I rejoice and am glad for your sovereign, glorious reign. I celebrate your power and sovereignty because it is matched by your goodness, your holiness, and your love. I rejoice in you Lord and praise your holy name, because in your sovereign, loving power, you have made me righteous through the blood of Jesus Christ. The Lord reigns, let all the earth rejoice! Amen.”
