Reading God’s Word: Acts 25: 1-27; Psalm 117
Memorizing God’s Word: Romans 5:8, But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Meditating on God’s Word: Acts 25:10–11 (ESV) But Paul said, (to Festus) “I am standing before Caesar’s tribunal, where I ought to be tried. To the Jews I have done no wrong, as you yourself know very well. If then I am a wrongdoer and have committed anything for which I deserve to die, I do not seek to escape death. But if there is nothing to their charges against me, no one can give me up to them. I appeal to Caesar.”
Praying God’s Word: Because of Paul’s appeal to the Roman Emperor Caesar, he spent years in prison awaiting his trial. Paul wrote four of his “letters/epistles” while in jail. In America I am not imprisoned for my faith. Lord, help me and daily prompt me to use my freedom to show You to those around me.
