Reading God’s Word: Deuteronomy 4:44-5:33; Psalm 101

Memorizing God’s Word: Deuteronomy 7:9 Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.

Meditating on God’s Word: Deuteronomy 5:32-33 So be careful to do what the Lord your God has commanded you; do not turn aside to the right or to the left.  Walk in obedience to all that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess.

Praying God’s Word “Lord, thank you for the steadfast, abounding love you have towards me.  For being a God who, out of that deep love, repeatedly gives warnings to “be careful.”   You are always looking out for your children, not wanting any to perish but to live long, prosperous lives.  Help me not to sway and to continually keep my eyes focused forward, walking in obedience to what you have commanded.  Oh, that I would hear your words, learn them, and be sure to follow them all the days of my life. Amen.”
