Reading God’s Word: 1 Corinthians 10:1-11:1; Psalm 63

Memorizing God’s Word: 1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

Meditating on God’s Word: 1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

Praying God’s Word: “Lord, when temptation is at its strongest, it feels like we can’t endure it, that it is too strong, and we are too weak. Remind us of this verse: what we are going through is common, normal, it’s part of living in this fallen world. But you have overcome the world. You are faithful. You will provide a way out. You will enable us to endure the temptation and not give into it. Help us remember that every temptation is an opportunity for us to grow in our trust in you. Amen.”
