Reading God’s Word: James 1:1-18, Psalm 133
Memorizing God’s Word: Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
Meditating on God’s Word: James 1:2-3 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.
Praying God’s Word: “Lord, I admit that when I face trials, I wonder why things like that happen to me, and I don’t feel much joy. Remind me in those moments that you love me, and that moments like that are times when I need to turn to you and trust you. Remind me that moments like that are times when I will learn to persevere and finish the race stronger than I was before the trial and testing. After times like this, I will understand your promise to restore the joy of my salvation. Amen.”
