Reading God’s Word: 1 Chronicles 27-28; Psalm 50

Memorizing God’s Word: Hebrews 4:16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Meditating on God’s Word: Psalm 50:23a (ESV)The one who offers thanksgiving as his sacrifice glorifies me;

Praying God’s Word: “Father, we are reminded in our meditation for today that one of the greatest sacrifices we can make is our thanksgiving and praise to You. We are often a very ungrateful lot. We complain about our station in life, our job, our financial status, our looks, our possessions, and on and on. Yet one of the greatest gifts we can bring You is our thankfulness for everything that You have done for us. Although we may think we deserve more in this life, in reality the fact that we have an inheritance with You in glory is something that makes every issue and injustice in this life pale into insignificance. Forgive us for an ungrateful spirit, and may we be a people that offer up a continual heart of thanksgiving to You. Amen.”
