Reading God’s Word: Isaiah 1:1-2:5

Advent Reading: Isaiah 9:1-7

Memorizing God’s Word: Isaiah 9:6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Meditating on God’s Word: Isaiah 1:18, “‘Come now, let us settle the matter,’ says the Lord. ‘Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.’”

Praying God’s Word: “Lord, if you kept a record of wrongs, who could stand? Give me the grace of recognizing how deeply wrong my sin is, Father—that it isn’t just inconvenient, trite, or irrelevant when I rebel against You, my God. And then, remind me that even though my sins are a deep stain, that You have covered them and washed them with the blood of Your Son. Amen.”
