Reading God’s Word: John 9:1-10:21; Psalm 9
Memorizing God’s Word: John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Meditating on God’s Word: John 10:11 (LSB) I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.
Praying God’s Word: “Father, someone has said that one of the reasons You created sheep was as an object lesson. The sheep is the most helpless animal alive, with the ability to get hopelessly lost only a few miles from home, be in constant need of care, require guidance to find good pasture, and in need of clean water. Spiritually, we are like sheep. We need Your continual guidance and protection, not only to thrive, but to be protected from the wolves that would destroy us. Thank you for being a shepherd to us by providing for our every need and protection, and may we follow You, the shepherd who laid down His life for the sheep. Amen.”
