Reading God’s Word: Catch-Up Day; Psalm 88
Previewing: Philippians
Memorizing God’s Word: Matthew 28:19-20 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Meditating on God’s Word: Psalm 88:1-2, O Lord, the God who saves me, day and night I cry out before you. May my prayer come before you; turn your ear to my cry.
Praying God’s Word: “Lord, the psalmist cries out in distress becoming engulfed by a lifetime of troubled circumstances. It is difficult to relate to this level of on-going despair, however, none of us will escape times when our faith is challenged and questioned. At times like these, do we look to our circumstances, or do we look to you? I choose you! ‘Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.’ (Psalm 42:11). Amen.”
