Meditating on God’s Word: John 20:9 (LSB) For as yet they did not understand the Scripture, that He must rise again from the dead.

Praying God’s Word: “Father, it is easy for us to criticize the disciples for not believing Jesus when he told them He was going to die and rise again. However, if we are honest with ourselves, we would not have understood either. We are reminded in this passage that the requirement for understanding the Scriptures is the Holy Spirit, who gives us insight and understanding. Help us to always seek His help in our study of the Bible, so that we would not be ignorant of what You want us to know. Amen.”
