Welcome to Guest Services Team Resource Network

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

When we welcome anyone into our homes, we see them as a guest, want to serve them and connect with them. At Open Door, we are honored to welcome guests into God’s home, a place where reconciliation, healing, salvation, community, encouragement…and so much more happens!  We invite you to come share in this journey of leading people into the Adventure of Becoming Like Christ every Sunday at any of our campuses (Elyria, Avon Lake, Vermilion, or Lorain).

As a Guest Service teammate, you will experience on site training, flexible scheduling, receive a cool red logo’ed team tee shirt, name badge and lanyard along with other tools. We want to give you the best experience for welcoming people to our campuses so they can know God better, and take a “next step” toward His purpose for their life. In serving on this team, you just may find you have taken that very step in your own life!

Reach out to andrea@opendoor.tv and join the Guest Services team at one of our 4 locations, because we can say with confidence, “You Belong Here.”

WORD Wisdom

8 Above all, constantly echo[a] God’s intense love for one another, for love will be a canopy over a multitude of sins.[b]9 Be compassionate to foreigners[c] [strangers] without complaining.10 Every believer has received grace gifts, so use them to serve one another as faithful stewards of the many-colored tapestry of God’s grace.

1 Peter 4:8-10
(The Passion Translation)

“What God is working on in each of us is God’s business. Allow God to be God. Then be used by Him by taking a genuine interest in other people, not what He is working on in them. To practically work that out, start with this question: ‘What was the most meaningful thing that happened to you recently? And don’t forget to ask yourself that question as well’.”.

– Bob Goff

As the winter weather continues, our Guest Services teams are needed more for our guests in the parking lots. Keeping a watch for the parents who have one too few hands, for an elderly guest trying to make their way in a brisk wind allows us to go above and beyond in our “first touch.” Use this extra time outside to engage in conversations about their home or hobby; who knows, they might reveal a need that your campus can assist with in a loving act of kindness.

Guest Services Lead People in the Adventure of Becoming Like Christ by making sure everyone is greeted, most people are connected and all people are loved through God’s amazing love. We encourage serving like Jesus, taking next steps and helping others do the same.
