Welcome to Guest Services Team Resource Network
You were saved by faith in God, who treats us much better than we deserve. This is God’s gift to you, and not anything you have done on your own. It isn’t something you have earned, so there is nothing you can brag about. God planned for us to do good things and to live as he has always wanted us to live. That’s why he sent Christ to make us what we are.
– Ephesians 2:8-10 CEV
When we welcome anyone into our homes, we see them as a guest and want to serve them and connect with them. At Open Door, we are honored to welcome guests into God’s home, a place where reconciliation, healing, salvation, community, encouragement, and so much more happens! We invite you to come and share in this journey of leading people into the Adventure of Becoming Like Christ every Sunday at any of our campuses (Elyria, Avon Lake, Vermilion, or Lorain).
As a Guest Service teammate, you will experience on-site training and flexible scheduling, receive a red logo’ed team tee shirt, name badge, and lanyard along with other tools. We want to give you the best experience for welcoming people to our campuses so they can know God better and take a “next step” toward His purpose for their life. In serving on this team, you just may find you have taken that very step in your own life!
Reach out to a Guest Services team member, the campus pastor, or host pastor any Sunday and join the Guest Services team at one of our four locations, because we can say with confidence, “You Belong Here.”
The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand.
– Psalm 37:23-24 NLT
Technology has brought us more connections but fewer friends.

[The church is a place where we can befriend the lonely and help them connect with God, who is their ultimate Friend. Jesus had made a way for us to come back to the most important relationship we could ever have with our Creator. Now that’s powerful, but Guest Services, do believe that we as a church can make that much of an impact? I say YES! It starts in our parking lots and doorways. Be that friend!]
Take Note form has proved to be an effective tool to “note-ice” our guests. We are identifying them better by name and ultimately recognizing when those faces are missing on a Sunday. Perfect! Some of you really love this tool! If you haven’t tried it, try it. There is something that augments our learning process when we write information down. Congratulations to Joyce Lewis and Rich Leimbach who used this tool so much their names were selected to win the drawing for February! Way to go; DD card in the mail for some coffee or ice cream!
