Praying God’s Word: Lord, there are few verses that will revolutionize my prayers like this one. David knew his needs were desperate and his enemies were great, but his prayer went beyond his circumstances. He knew something most of us don’t, that even his suffering was for God’s glory! Help me to live that way, Lord. The problems in my life and the provisions from Your hand both have a higher purpose. So help me, in my sicknesses, my weaknesses, my neediness. Help me for Your name’s sake! And bring about a greater glory than just my good, O Sovereign Lord. Make Your name great through me. Amen.”
