Reading God’s Word: Revelation 1:1-8

Memorizing God’s Word: 1 John 5:12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.

Meditating on God’s Word: Revelation 1:8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”

Praying God’s Word: “Lord, it’s comforting to know you’re the God who was. It’s hopeful to know you’re the God who is to come. But today we remember, especially as we read Luke 2, you are Immanuel. The God who is with us, right here, right now. You existed before existence, and when it all passes away you’ll remain. But right now, you’re walking with us in the middle, and holding it all together. And because you are here, the words of the angel are still true today: “do not be afraid.” The Alpha and the Omega has come near. Amen.”
