Reading God’s Word: Matthew 13:44-14:12, Psalm 14

Memorizing God’s Word: Philippians 1:21 For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.

Meditating on God’s Word: Matthew 13:52 He said to them, “Therefore every teacher of the law who has become a disciple in the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old.

Praying God’s Word: Lord, I am your disciple. I am your follower, your student, and one who has received the greatest treasure imaginable! I have received a knowledge and understanding of who you are! Lord, and like the owner of a treasure, I am not meant to keep that but to share it and bring it to others so that they may know you. Lord I am to show you to others and not simply keep what you are teaching me to myself. Since I know the value of what I have, how can I not tell others about it today? How can I, out of sheer gratitude, keep it to myself? Lord, if I am your disciple today, give me an opportunity to share you and the knowledge of your great gift with someone today. Thank you for today! Amen.”
