Reading God’s Word: Acts 20:1-16; Psalm 110
Memorizing God’s Word: Jeremiah 29:11-12
For I know the plans I have for you, “declares the Lord,” plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
Meditating on God’s Word: Acts 20:7
On the first day of the week we came together to break bread. Paul spoke to the people and, because he intended to leave the next day, kept on talking until midnight.
Praying God’s Word
Lord, I’m so convicted by this. In a day and age of fast food, drive-through, microwave reality, so many of us have forsaken the simple practice of breaking bread together while focusing on you. Slow us down Spirit. I pray in Jesus name for hearts to be open this week to your voice. Resulting in homes to be open for believers to break bread and break open the Word. Jesus, let the midnight oil burn as we offer our bodies as living sacrifices and worship you with our obedience. Let us stir up some biscuits as we stir one another up. Let us encourage one another toward love and good works. As we invite your presence in and over our lives may we invite one another into our homes. Amen.
