Reading God’s Word: Matthew 13:24-43, Psalm 13

Memorizing God’s Word: Philippians 1:21 For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.

Meditating on God’s Word: Matthew 13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.

Praying God’s Word: “Lord, today is a reminder to me that as I seek to walk faithfully in you, and to grow in you, I am in a world that is also broken.  I am in a world that is imperfect and difficult. Lord, thank you for the reminder today that my strength and my growth is dependent on you, and the difficulties of this world are ultimately your responsibility, not mine.  You are the owner of the field and you own the harvest.  Despite the hardships, Lord, you provide for me and my needs daily.  Amen.”
