Reading God’s Word: Matthew 14:13-36, Psalm 15

Memorizing God’s Word: Philippians 1:21 For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.

Meditating on God’s Word: Matthew 14:16 Jesus replied, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.”

Praying God’s Word: Lord, do I wait for you to work? Lord, do I sit idle when you have given me a job to do in your name? Lord, today I am reminded that I am your laborer, your servant, your hands and feet here in this place and you have called me to action. You have called me to speak, to care, to feed, and to glorify you. Like the disciples, you have said to me ‘you do it.’ That doesn’t mean without you, but rather with you. Lord you multiply the loaves and fishes, but you call me to take action to see your will done. Lord, help me today to be in action. Help me to not sit by and expect someone else to do the work. I will do it today Lord. I am your servant, your disciple. Amen.”
