FRIDAY: 1-24-20

Reading God’s Word: Matthew 15:1-28, Psalm 16

Memorizing God’s Word: Philippians 1:21 For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.

Meditating on God’s Word: Psalm 16:8 I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

Praying God’s Word: “Lord, I believe your word to be true, and yet I struggle moment to moment and day by day because of the difficulties of the world. Today, your word reminds me of that struggle, but also of the promise that you are by me. Lord, you tell us to keep our eyes fixed on you always, and not just coming to you in our time of need. Yes, I take my eyes off of you and can always come back, but if I keep focused on you, you are the strength at my right hand. Lord, you don’t let go of me, but I have a tendency to take my eyes off of you and today I ask forgiveness for that. Today I refocus on you and know that you are with me through every trial of yesterday, today and tomorrow. Your promise is true and your strength is far more than everything I am going through. Thank you, Lord, Amen.”
