“Jesus is, at once, the most important and the most misunderstood person in history.”
-Pastor Jim Mindling

Everybody seems to have an opinion about who Jesus is, anything from the loving son of God to a dangerous madman. There have been more books written about Jesus, more paintings created that depict Jesus, more organizations founded in his name, and more movies filmed about him than any other person in the history of the world. Jesus has even been googled the most! But even with all this available information about him, and perhaps because of it, Jesus is the most misunderstood person in history.

So, why does it matter? How important is it really to understand who Jesus is? It turns out that the difference between understanding and not understanding the person of Jesus is the difference between life and death. That’s a pretty big deal! Understanding Jesus also affects the way we live every single day because if he is who he says he is (the Messiah, the son of God–John 20:31), then that means everything has to change.
