When we welcome anyone into our homes, we see them as a guest and want to serve them and connect with them. At Open Door, we are honored to welcome guests into God’s home, a place where reconciliation, healing, salvation, community, encouragement, and so much more happens! We invite you to come and share in this journey of leading people into the Adventure of Becoming Like Christ every Sunday at any of our campuses (Elyria, Avon Lake, Vermilion, or Lorain).
As a Guest Service teammate, you will experience on-site training and flexible scheduling, receive a red logo’ed team tee shirt, name badge, and lanyard along with other tools. We want to give you the best experience for welcoming people to our campuses so they can know God better and take a “next step” toward His purpose for their life. In serving on this team, you just may find you have taken that very step in your own life!
Reach out to a Guest Services team member, the campus pastor, or host pastor any Sunday and join the Guest Services team at one of our four locations, because we can say with confidence, “You Belong Here.”

We are a soft place in people’s lives. We give our guests a place to land and process what they are thinking and feeling about life anytime they come through our doors. The good news of Jesus is relevant for them, to help them move from confusion to hope.
When you see a new guest who is not sitting with anyone, ask them if they would like you to sit with them during the service. When service is over, invite them to sit with you next week. Maybe they came with someone and don’t need someone to sit with them. This is a great time to give them your Guest Services business card and information to connect during the week with any questions. And of course, repeat their name as you hand them the business card with your information.
