Reading God’s Word: 2 Corinthians 3:12-4:18, Psalm 115:1-9
Memorizing God’s Word: 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
Meditating on God’s Word: 2 Corinthians 3:15-18: Even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts. But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
Praying God’s Word “Lord, I want to stop right now. I pray that your Spirit would quiet my mind, and that the cares of this world would melt away so that I can contemplate your glory! I know that Your glory is not a thing that I can begin to understand, yet there is something in me that leaps whenever it comes to mind. Thank you for lifting the veil from my eyes so that I may take in a mere glimpse of your glory. I pray Lord that I will not leave this place of contemplation for very long. I pray that you would help me to be mindful of your Spirit dwelling in me, and that I would be transformed more and more in to the likeness of Jesus. Amen.”
